I love love love this series! In my opinion it is one of the top 5 series in the world. I definitely recommend this and all other Cassandra Clare books to everyone.
I won't give too much away about this book because it is a prequel series and I think that you should read it for yourselves.
It is set in the 1600's (I think :P I don't actually have a copy with me so some facts may not be accurate. Sorry) The main character Tessa who is alone in New York after her brother moves to London for work and then her aunt passes away. She receives a letter and a boat ticket from her brother to go to London. She gets on the boat and travels for days. And when she finally arrives the story really begins.
She is met by a carriage and two women, also known as the Dark Sisters. And kidnapped
I am not going to say anything else other than it is filled with robots, vampires, werewolves, shadowhunters, and betrayal.
